Save $15 on outerwear (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers:

Save $15 on a $50 purchase of outerwear for women, men, kids, and baby

Click on offer, then click on the link on the offer page to receive an email with the promotion code. Sign-up for this offer expires on November 8.

You'll get an email (right away), a link to the Special Offer page and a promotion code to enter at checkout. Once you have the promotional code, you have until November 19 (two weeks) to complete your purchase. Like previous offers, this one requires you to use the full checkout process in order to enter your promotional code. Also, like all Amazon sales that use promotional codes, if you have a gift card balance, you must use it for the payment (if there is not a sufficient balance, then you can pick which credit card or other payment to use).

Limit one offer per customer and per device.

Basically, you can get $15 off a coat at Amazon (but use the links above, to stay in the right category) Of course, many of the coats in the store are well over $50 (many at $1,000). A bit of searching, though, turns up some jackets under $50 (you can combine two or more to make up the $50 required) - once you click on the main section your want (Women, Men, Boys or Girls), try sorting low to high to find them. I did see one item that wasn't a coat - a "Shrug", which is a neck warmer/gaiter - although there may be more.

Today's Deals

Austenland ($1.99), a novel by Shannon Hale, is today's Kindle Deal of the Day. She has a new title coming out in January, Midnight in Austenland, but (so far) you can only pre-order it in hardcover.
Book Description
Jane is a young New York woman who can never seem to find the right man-perhaps because of her secret obsession with Mr. Darcy, as played by Colin Firth in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Predjudice. When a wealthy relative bequeaths her a trip to an English resort catering to Austen-obsessed women, however, Jane's fantasies of meeting the perfect Regency-era gentleman suddenly become more real than she ever could have imagined. Is this total immersion in a fake Austenland enough to make Jane kick the Austen obsession for good, or could all her dreams actually culminate in a Mr. Darcy of her own?

The Summoner ($4.79 Kindle; $2.40 B&N), the first title in the Chronicles of the Necromancer by Gail Z. Martin, is the Nook Daily Find. Interestingly, Amazon is matching the incorrect price shown on the Nook Daily Find page (which I suspect is what both stores may charge all the time), not the price shown on the actual product details page for this ebook. If you like the series, the rest of the titles are all under $5 (currently).
Book Description
The comfortable world of Martris Drayke, second son of King Bricen of Margolan, is shattered when his older half-brother, Jared, and Jared¿s dark mage, Foor Arontala, kill the king and seize the throne. Tris is the only surviving member of the royal family aside from Jared the traitor. Tris flees with three friends: Soterius, captain of the guard; Carroway, the court¿s master bard; and Harrtuck, a member of the royal guard. Tris harbors a deep secret. In a land where spirits walk openly and influence the affairs of the living, he suspects he may be the mage heir to the power of his grandmother, Bava K¿aa, once the greatest sorceress of her age. Such magic would make Tris a Summoner, the rarest of magic gifts, capable of arbitrating between the living and the dead.

Free Book (iBooks) - Indochine: Hanoi [AU]

Readers in Australia can get a free iBooks download of Indochine: Hanoi, by Luke Nguyen, originally a section (roughly 100 pages) of the cookbook Indochine, published in hardcover, that appears to only be available used in the Amazon store. If you want the rest of the book, you can buy a section at a time on iTunes for $8.99 or grab the entire book for $29.99. As far as I can tell, those in the US can't purchase any of the titles.
Book Description
Discover the fusion of French and Vietnamese cuisine with Luke Nguyen's delicious recipes from the Hanoi region, complemented by inspiring location and food photography. Join Luke as he explores the impact the French had on what the Vietnamese eat and cook today.

Book Description
Three haters. Two lovers. And a collision course with tragedy.

That October night, Donald and Mark had no idea their lives and love were about to be shattered by fag bashers, intent on pain, and armed with ridicule, fists, and an aluminum baseball bat. Bashed charts the course of a journey that encompasses suspense, horror, and--ultimately--romance.

Free Book (Kindle) - The Funniest Cop Stories Ever

The Funniest Cop Stories Ever, by Tom Philbin and Scott Baker, is free in the Kindle store (and marked down to $1.99 at Barnes & Noble).
Book Description
Cops are the people who see and hear it all. They work at one of the world's most dangerous jobs, but it's also one of the most entertaining. When their lives are at risk¿and even when they aren't¿cops encounter constant weirdness and stupidity in human behavior. The Funniest Cop Stories Ever collects the strangest, most amusing stories about stupid crooks, bungled crimes, and station-house banter. A true look at what life is like behind the badge, the tales in The Funniest Cop Stories Ever were collected by real-life ex-New York City policeman Scott Baker and coauthor Tom Philbin. Anecdotes are told by the real-life cops who experienced them and include:

A foot chase after a dwarf who karate-kicked his girlfriend's door and assaulted her while wearing a tuxedo and carrying a violin case.

A beggar who ended people's pay phone calls so he could demand their extra spare change.

A narcotics bust on a guy who claimed the crack cocaine¿and his pants¿didn't belong to him.
