Save $10 on pet supplies at Wag.com (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers:

Get $10 off your first Wag.com order of $25 or more

Click on offer, then click on the link on the offer page to receive an email with the promotion code. Sign-up for this offer expires on June 30, 2013..

You'll get an email (right away), a link to the WAG.COM and a promotion code to enter at checkout. Once you have the promotional code, you have until July 31, 2013. to complete your purchase. Like previous offers, this one requires you to use the full checkout process in order to enter your promotional code. Also, like all Amazon sales that use promotional codes, if you have a gift card balance, you must use it for the payment (if there is not a sufficient balance, then you can pick which credit card or other payment to use).

Limit one offer per customer and per device. Offer limited to "new" customers to Wag.com.

10 Kindle Books for $1 Each (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers, apparently, as I don't see it on my eInk Kindles:

10 Kindle Books for $1 Each

Click on the offer, then click on the link on the offer page sign up and you'll get an email confirming the credit has been applied to your account. This offer is good for up to 10 books (per account; if you have multiple KSO devices, they need to be registered to different accounts before you sign up to get the promotion code emails; every Kindle on an account gets flagged when you sign up for the special offer). Sign-up for this offer expires June 29, 2013, but I would not delay, as I've often seen offers disappear from my Kindles before the end dates.

The email will contain a link to the promotion page; once you've applied the promo code from your Kindle Fire, you can shop from your Kindle, tablet or desktop; you may also gift the book to someone else (up to the 10 books limit). The full price shows all the way thru (just as with the AmazonLocal offers), but on the invoice summary, you will see the $1 promotional price. Once you have claimed the promotional code, you have until July 6, 2013 to complete your purchases.

These seem to be Amazon publishing imprint titles, once again. I have a couple of them in my TBR list, but it doesn't appear I've read any of the ones offered, this time around.

Get $5 of $10 Purchase (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers (KFSO).

From the home page of your KFSO, swipe the top menu to the left until you see Offers, then press/click in order to see the current offers. At the bottom, you should see the offer for Get $5 off a $10 purchase. Click on the offer then click to change your 1-click Settings (yes, this is required for this offer).

The big catch on this deal is that you must have a valid Discover card on file, change your 1-click settings, then use the Discover card on a $10 or more physical purchase (no gift cards or digital items) by Oct 7, the items have to be "sold by and fulfilled by Amazon.com" and your card must remain valid until you do. Still, it's up to half-off your purchase and you can change your settings after you fulfill the requirements.

If you don't have a Discover Card on your account, you may not see the offer at all (you can try adding it and see if it shows up by the sign-up deadline of Sept 7); if it's already your one-click card of choice, try changing to another card and you may get the offer to show (I doubt those who already default to Discover will see this bribe to switch). It also appears that you need to make sure that your card is up-to-date on it's expiration date, etc, before you sign up. Finally, you have to do the change to Discover from the Kindle Fire registered to your account.

Although I used my PC to check that my card was up-to-date first and followed all the procedures on the offer page, I only received an error msg when I tried to sign up for this deal. It turns out, all that meant was that I needed to go back to the Offers page on the Kindle Fire and try again - the second time around I saw the "Apply Credit" choice, rather than the "Change 1-Click Settings" button!

10 Kindle Books for $1 Each (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers, apparently, as I don't see it on my eInk Kindles:

Get select eBooks for $1

Click on the offer, then click on the link on the offer page sign up and you'll get an email confirming the credit has been applied to your account. This offer is good for up to 10 books (per account; if you have multiple KSO devices, they need to be registered to different accounts before you sign up to get the promotion code emails; every Kindle on an account gets flagged when you sign up for the special offer). Sign-up for this offer expires June 3, 2013, but I would not delay, as I've often seen offers disappear from my Kindles before the end dates.

Once you have claimed the promotional code, you have until June 3, 2013 to complete your purchases (the same day as the sign-up deadline).

At a glance, these all seem to be Amazon publishing imprint titles. I've read Katherine Amt Hanna's Breakdown and really enjoyed it (it's not about zombies and much more about relationships after a global pandemic than most in the post-apocalytpic genre); those who prefer audiobooks can pick up the the companion audiobook for $1.99 (so, under $3 for the combo). A couple of others are in my TBR pile (The Greenhouse, for example) and I may pick up the mystery/thrillers from Vincent Zandri and Max Allan Collins.

Get $2 Off an MP3 Album (KSO)

This offer for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers only.

On your Kindle Fire with Special Offers (2nd Generation or HD), swipe the top menu to the left until you see Offers, then press/click in order to see the current offers. At the bottom, you should see the offer to Get $2 off any digital music album $5.99 or greater. Click on the offer, then on the orange button to add the credit directly to your account. It's nearly instant and the next screen offers to take you to Amazon MP3 store so you can start shopping. You can shop the web site from your PC or or iThing or from the Music App on your Kindle Fire any Android device and the credit will automatically be used on the next qualifying purchase (I prefer to browse on my PC, as you can do a "play all" on the samples).

Offer is good for one album and only one per account (if you have multiple KSO devices, they need to be registered to different accounts when you apply the credit to any of the accounts). The credit must be claimed by May 7 and used by midnight (PT) May 14.

Other than picking out an album that has a price of $5.99 or more, there doesn't seem to be any restriction on which albums you can choose. The credit will also go onto your account as soon as it is claimed, so you will want to shop for your album right away (I've seen multiple promotions active on an account interfere with each other). I would not wait too long to claim it though, as I've had offers disappear from my Kindle Fire before the claim date. Also, if you don't see the offer at all, try turning off parental controls on your Fire (you can turn them on again, after claiming the offer).

$2 Credit on Apps and Games (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers (KFSO):

$2 Credit on Apps and Games in the Amazon Appstore

From the home page of your KFSO, swipe the top menu to the left until you see Offers, then press/click in order to see the current offers. Click on the offer, then on the orange button to add the credit directly to your account. It's nearly instant and the next screen offers to take you to Amazon so you can spend that credit away! If you miss that screen, though, don't worry - a document about the offer will appear on your home page.

You can shop from your Kindle Fire or your PC, but you need to check for any individual product that is excluded from this (and all other) promotions, on the product detail page and I don't know if you can see that info on the mobile pages you get on the Fire itself. You must sign up by Midnight January 1, 2013 and use the credit by midnight, Jan 8.

You might as well apply this one to your account right away, since it will apply automatically to any eligible purchase.

This deal drops the cost of premium games such as Angry Birds Star Wars Premium HD or PAC-MAN HD down to 99 cents or is enough pick up a one or two of games such as Skylanders Cloud Patrol or Pudding Monsters HD, at no charge. Always check the compatibility before buying, to make sure it will run on the device you intend to use and don't assume anything from the name (that last one has HD in the name, but works on every device I have, including my phone; others I've seen with HD in the name won't work at all on the Kindle Fire HD devices). To make your credit go the furthest, check out some of the sale games on the New Releases or Bestseller pages, such as Monopoly MILLIONAIRE and Need for Speed Most Wanted for only 99 cents, marked down from $5 and $7! If you are searching for something more educational, for your little ones, Team Umizoomi Math: Zoom into Numbers and several other Nickelodeon games are also 99 cents or less right now.

$2 Instant Amazon Instant Video Credit (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers (KFSO):

Get $2 credit toward the purchase or rental of select digital movies in the Amazon Instant Video Store

You must sign up by December 9 and use the credit by Dec 17.

You might as well apply this one to your account right away, since it will apply automatically to any eligible purchase.

Get $10 of $50 Purchase (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers (KFSO), although it looks like you can somehow get this using the Mobile shopping app on any Kindle fire.

From the home page of your KFSO, swipe the top menu to the left until you see Offers, then press/click in order to see the current offers. At the bottom, you should see the offer for Spend $50 or more today. Get $10 off later. Click on the offer and a gift chooser game comes up - play it if you want (it suggested a cookbook for me!) or click on the link in the middle of the page to get the special code you need for the deal.

The big catch on this deal, is that you must use a Citi card during checkout (no shopping from the Fire itself on this deal) and enter the promo code CIT2KNDL.
Make a qualifying purchase between now and Dec 1 and you'll get a promo code in email later (by Dec 18), which expires Jan 14. It also looks like the promo code you get will require a $50 purchase also, as well as the use of the Citi card again.

Reading the instructions on this one is an exercise in linguistics, but it clearly says (near the end) that you must have either a Kindle Fire or Kindle Fire HD with Special Offers on your account at the time of BOTH qualifying purchases. Ouch. Also, I suspect that although all of last year's Kindle Fires meet the linguistics required, that they don't qualify simply because Amazon now calls them by another name. You also won't get any actual confirmation, that I can see, that the first qualifying purchase has occurred, other than getting a promo code more than two weeks later.

In any case, it's not that big of a discount, but if you use a Citi card anyway, it works out to $10 off a combined purchase of >$100. Also, make sure you buy something you won't return on the second purchase, since the discount will be subtracted from any refund (so, food is a good choice, usually).

Get 1 of 10 Romance for $1 (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including any Kindle Touch or Kindle Keyboard that opts in to Special Offers, but not the Kindle Fire with Special Offers):

Get 1 of 10 Kindle Romances for $1

Click on the offer, then click on the link on the offer page sign up and you'll get an email(right away) with the promotion code. This offer is good for one book and only one per account (if you have multiple KSO devices, they need to be registered to different accounts before you sign up to get the promotion code emails; every Kindle on an account gets flagged when you sign up for the special offer and they will all get the same code for that promotion from then on). Sign-up for this offer expires November 28, 2012.

The email will contain a link to the promotion page. This one works like a gift card and you need to apply the credit to your account first, before going shopping. You can shop from your Kindle or desktop, after you have applied the promotion code and can gift the book to someone else, if there isn't one you want yourself (the full price shows all the way thru, but on the invoice summary, you will see the $1 promotional price). Once you have entered the promotional code, you have until November 28, 2012 to complete your purchases (the same day as the sign-up deadline).

So far, I don't see an equivalent offer on my Kindle Fire (which seems to be taking a week off from offers, at least here). Compared to some of last year's offers, this one has a disappointing selection range. Any suggestions out there from Romance fans?

The good news? If you don't have a KSO or want more than one of the books, they are all $2.99 normal price, currently.

Get $4 off an MP3 Album (KSO)

This offer for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers only.

On your Kindle Fire with Special Offers (2nd Generation or HD), swipe the top menu to the left until you see Offers, then press/click in order to see the current offers. At the bottom, you should see the offer to Get $4 off any digital music album. Click on the offer, then on the orange button to add the credit directly to your account. It's nearly instant and the next screen offers to take you to Amazon MP3 store so you can start shopping. You can also shop from your PC or the Music App on any Android device and the credit will automatically be used on the next qualifying purchase (I prefer to browse on my PC, as you can do a "play all" on the samples).

Offer is good for one album and only one per account (if you have multiple KSO devices, they need to be registered to different accounts when you apply the credit to any of the accounts). The credit must be claimed by November 12 and used by midnight (PT) November 19.

Other than picking out an album that has a price of $7.99 or more, there doesn't seem to be any restriction on which albums you can choose. The credit will also go onto your account as soon as it is claimed, so you will want to shop for your album right away. I would not wait too long to claim it though, as I've had offers disappear before the claim date. Also, if you don't see the offer at all, try turning off parental controls on your Fire (you can turn them on again, after claiming the offer).

$3 Instant Amazon Instant Video Credit (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including any that opts in to Special Offers, but not the Kindle Fire with Special Offers):

Get $3 off select titles in the Amazon Instant Video Store

To take advantage of this offer:
  1. First, turn on your Kindle with Special Offers, click Menu, then View Special Offers.
  2. Find the offer: Get $3 off select titles in the Amazon Instant Video Store. Click on it, then on the link to Email Me This Offer. You must claim your gift code by Midnight PT, November 12, 2012.
  3. You will get an email from Amazon with your promotional code, right away.
  4. Once you have the promotion code (and have selected your album; see below), click this link, then on the button labeled Enter Your Code, at any time up to the expiration date of 11:59 p.m. (PT) November 19, 2012.
  5. Enter your code and follow the directions.
  6. Choose nearly any Amazon Instant Video and the credit will authomatically be applied (up to the expiration date of Midnight, Nov 19).
You might as well apply this one to your account right away, since it will apply automatically. If you are a Twilight Fan, you could rent three of the four for free (or just pay 96 cents for the lot), since Amazon has them on sale for 99 cents right now: Twilight, Twilight: New Moon, Twilight: Eclipse, and Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part I ($.99 through November 8th; playback by Nov 29).

Monday, October 29, 2012

Get an MP3 Album for $5 (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including any that opts in to Special Offers, but not the Kindle Fire with Special Offers):

Get a select music album for $5

To take advantage of this offer:
  1. First, turn on your Kindle with Special Offers, click Menu, then View Special Offers.
  2. Find the offer: Get a select music album for $5. Click on it, then on the link to Email Me This Offer. You must claim your gift code by Midnight PT, November 4, 2012.
  3. You will get an email from Amazon with your promotional code, right away.
  4. Once you have the promotion code (and have selected your album; see below), click this link, then on the button labeled Enter Your Code, at any time up to the expiration date of 11:59 p.m. (PT) November 11, 2012.
  5. Enter your code and follow the directions.
  6. Choose any MP3 album under $10 and you'll only be charged $5
  7. (up to the expiration date of Midnight, Nov 11).
You'll have a promotion code on your account that will apply to the FIRST album you buy after that (even if it usually costs less than $5). You should save the code and not enter it until you are ready to buy an album (I find this also helps me remember if I've used a code - when I go to apply it, if it isn't accepted, I know I've used that offer).

This promo can't be combined with any others, but you can shop from your Kindle Fire Music App after you've entered the code (although I greatly prefer doing so from my desktop -- in fact, if you buy it as a gift and send it to yourself, you'll see that the promo has been applied when you get the the final confirmation page). I had a lot of problems with the last MP3 promo that Amazon had (the $3 album on the Kindle Fire) and it was because I already had some MP3 credit on my account (from Coinstar). As a result, the fixed-price album promo combined with that credit (which it isn't supposed to do) and I was overcharged for the album (using nearly $8 in credit for a "$3 album"). So, first make sure you use up any MP3 credits (don't worry about a gift card balance; that won't cause an issue), then enter your promo code and buy your $5 album.

30% Off Select Kindle Accessories (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including any Kindle Touch or Kindle Keyboard that opts in to Special Offers, but not the Kindle Fire with Special Offers):

30% Off Select Kindle Accessories

Click on the offer, then click on the link on the offer page sign up and you'll get an email(right away) with the promotion code. This offer is good for one book and only one per account (if you have multiple KSO devices, they need to be registered to different accounts before you sign up to get the promotion code emails; every Kindle on an account gets flagged when you sign up for the special offer and they will all get the same code for that promotion from then on). Sign-up for this offer expires October 28, 2012, and the promo code must be used by November 4.

The email will contain a link to the promotion page. You'll need to add the items you select to your cart, then use the full check out process and enter the Promo code on the summary page (it's not automatic, like the Kindle Fire promo and you can't use one-click and get the discount).

There are a number of sleeves and covers on the promotion page, along with an A/C charger plug at 50% off the $19.99 list price (so, you would get an additional 30% off the $9.99 sale price), which you may need if you've bought one of the current Kindle models (which no longer comes with a A/C charger). Unlike the Fire promos, this discount works a single time on a single order - but you can add a couple of covers and a charger plug or two the same order before you checkout.

30% Off Select Kindle Styluses & Stands (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers (KFSO).

From the home page of your KFSO, swipe the top menu to the left until you see Offers, then press/click in order to see the current offers. At the bottom, you should see the offer for 30% Off Select Kindle Styluses & Stands. Click on the offer, then on the orange button to add the credit directly to your account. It's nearly instant and the next screen offers to take you to Amazon so you can spend that credit away! If you miss that screen, though, don't worry - a document about the offer will appear on your home page. You must sign up by October 28 to get this promo discount.

Choose one or more Kindle Accessories that are both shipped and sold by Amazon and order away. From the wording on the offer, you can use one-click and have multiple orders, up to the $30 total discount allowed. This credit expires November 4. Limit one per customer and one per device.

The stands are already 25%-33% off list price, so your discount will be off the shown price (a net discount up to about 50%). The one from Belkin looks like it would be easy to pack and use when not at home and I am tempted to get a new stylus that matches my cover (with everyone's here being a boring black, it's easy to lose track of them).

Free Audiobook - The Next Always

The audiobook edition of The Next Always ($9.99 Kindle), the first novel in the Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy by Nora Roberts, narrated by MacLeod Andrews, is free on Audible. This is a Kindle with Special Offers deal but it looks like anyone (at least in the US) can grab it (which is nice, since it didn't show up on my Kindle Fire with Special Offers.
Book Description
... an all-new trilogy-inspired by the inn she owns and the town she loves.

The historic hotel in BoonsBoro, Maryland, has endured war and peace, changing hands, even rumored hauntings. Now it's getting a major facelift from the Montgomery brothers and their eccentric mother. As the architect of the family, Beckett's social life consists mostly of talking shop over pizza and beer. But there's another project he's got his eye on: the girl he's been waiting to kiss since he was fifteen.

$30 Off Amazon Denim (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including any Kindle Touch or Kindle Keyboard that opts in to Special Offers, but not the Kindle Fire with Special Offers):

Get $30 Off a Purchase of $100 or More in the Amazon Denim Shop

Click on the offer, then click on the link on the offer page sign up and you'll get an email(right away) with the promotion code. This offer is good for one book and only one per account (if you have multiple KSO devices, they need to be registered to different accounts before you sign up to get the promotion code emails; every Kindle on an account gets flagged when you sign up for the special offer and they will all get the same code for that promotion from then on). Sign-up for this offer expires October 21, 2012, and the promo code must be used by October 28.

The email will contain a link to the promotion page. You'll need to add the items you select to your cart, then use the full check out process and enter the Promo code on the summary page (it's not automatic, like the Kindle Fire promo).

Other than the dates (and getting a code via email, rather than an automatic credit via AmazonLocal), this is the exact same offer that those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers received a couple of days ago. There doesn't seem to be any reason you can't take advantage of both offers, if you have a lot of denim to purchase, but they can't be used on the same order, of course.

Friday, October 12, 2012

$30 Off Amazon Denim (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers (KFSO).

From the home page of your KFSO, swipe the top menu to the left until you see Offers, then press/click in order to see the current offers. At the bottom, you should see the offer for $30 Off a Purchase of $100 or More in the Amazon Denim Shop. Click on the offer, then on the orange button to add the credit directly to your account. It's nearly instant and the next screen offers to take you to Amazon so you can spend that credit away! If you miss that screen, though, don't worry - a document about the offer will appear on your home page. You must sign up by October 16.

Choose one or more items in the Amazon Denim Shop, place them into your cart and checkout (using the full checkout process, not one-click). You only get a single credit and the purchase must be over $100, but you can add a few pairs of jeans together to get to that total.

This credit expires October 23. Limit one per customer and one per device.

$3 Instant Amazon Instant Video Credit (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers (KFSO).

From the home page of your KFSO, swipe the top menu to the left until you see Offers, then press/click in order to see the current offers. At the bottom, you should see the offer for $3 to spend on Select TV Episodes. Click on the offer, then on the orange button to add the credit directly to your account. It's nearly instant and the next screen offers to take you to Amazon so you can spend that credit away! If you miss that screen, though, don't worry - a document about the offer will appear on your home page. You must sign up by October 11.

Unlike the previous offer, you can't choose from the entire Instant Video Store, but must use the credit for "television episodes" (rentals and purchases). You can shop from your Kindle Fire or your PC, but you need to check for any individual product that is excluded from this (and all other) promotions, on the product detail page and I don't know if you can see that info on the mobile pages you get on the Fire itself. The credit expires October 18, so be sure to use it quickly.

I'm not sure what (if anything) I'll spend this one. I do wonder if it will work on buying an entire season for a series.

Other than the dates (and getting a code via email, rather than a credit via AmazonLocal), this is the exact same offer that those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers received last month.

30% Off Select Kindle Accessories (KSO)

This offer for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers only. On your Kindle Fire with Special Offers, swipe the top menu to the left until you see Offers, then press/click in order to see the current offers. At the bottom, you should see the offer to 30% Off Select Kindle Accessories. Click on the offer, then on the orange button to add the credit directly to your account. It's nearly instant and the next screen offers to take you to Amazon so you can spend that credit away! If you miss that screen, though, don't worry - a document about the offer will appear on your home page.

The discount is limited to Select Kindle Accessories and they must be "sold by Amazon.com". You can put multiple items into your cart, then go thru the full checkout process - you should see the discount in your Order Summary at the upper right corner of the page. The total discount is limited to $30 (30% off $100 in purchases) and will expire at midnight (PT), October 15.

There are the usual assortment of cases to choose from (although, not the ones actually made by Amazon), along with stands, earbuds and styluses that will work with many different devices.
