Thanks for stopping by, but it appears you are using a (very) old address for my blog. I've moved to a Wordpress site and you'll need to update your bookmarks for Books on the Knob

Save $5 on a $10 purchase (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including the brand new $79 Kindle).

Save $5 on a $10 purchase at Amazon.com

Click on offer, then click on the link on the offer page to receive an email with the promotion code. Sign-up for this offer expires on October 3.

You'll get an email (right away), a link to the Special Offer page and a promotion code to enter at checkout. Once you have the promotional code, you have until November 3 to complete your purchase. Like previous offers, this one requires you to use the full checkout process in order to enter your promotional code. Also, like all Amazon sales that use promotional codes, if you have a gift card balance, you must use it for the payment (if there is not a sufficient balance, then you can pick which credit card or other payment to use).

Limit one offer per customer and per device.

This one will be easy to use, since it works on any physical product "sold by Amazon.com" (it does exclude third party merchants). If you bought a new Kindle, you could use this to get break on a cover (or use it to buy a second Kindle), but I suspect there will be some repeats of earlier offers that are specific to Kindle covers and accessories. You could use it to get a $10 USB charger, since the new Kindles only come with a USB cable, not the charger block itself. It only makes sense, as the block was specific to the US (and a very few other countries), plus many people end up with piles of them tossed in drawers. Instead, they lowered the cost (and price) of the Kindle across board, then let those who want one order it separately.
