Click on offer, then click on the link on the offer page sign up and get an email with the promotion code. Sign-up for this offer expires on October 7. You'll get an email (right away), a link to list of eligible headphones and a promotion code to enter at checkout. Once you have the promotional code, you have until November 7 to complete your purchase. Like previous offers, this one requires you to use the full checkout process in order to enter your promotional code. Also, like all Amazon sales that use promotional codes, if you have a gift card balance, you must use it for the payment (if there is not a sufficient balance, then you can pick which credit card or other payment to use).
This offer is limited to one per device AND one per customer (and, like all recent offers, is non-transferable). This limitation is now being enforced by Amazon - if you try to get multiple certificates on one account, you'll get the same promotion code from every Kindle AND the Kindle is flagged to that account and code. Which means if you then transfer the Kindle to another account (a spouse or child, for example), you'll get the exact same code on that account (and it won't work there). Not a big deal on this particular promotion, but I had a long call with Amazon trying to get the promotion code for the recent $1 book promotion on hubby's account (they finally just added a promotion manually). So, be sure to move any KSO to it's own account before trying to get an additional code for this or any future offers.
The selection on the offer is pretty decent, at least for now. If past offers are any guide, the selection will thin down as the promotion gets closer to the expiration date. There are both earbuds and headphones available on this promotion, in all price ranges, from a pair you wouldn't be too upset if your kids lose them to the ones you'll have to keep locked up (and cost more than any of the current Kindles).
