Groupon, another site that specializes in localized coupons deals, is firing a salvo back at Amazon and LivingSocial. Today and thru the weekend, you can get a $20 coupon to use at B&N, including on NOOK books, from what I can tell, for $10. There is an expiration date (April 10) and if you haven't used it by then, the amount decreases by $10 (so, you should not lose the $10 you spend, but must use it by then to get the full benefit). You can use the gift card in a local store, their online store or (once registered to your account), from your nook. It says you must use it "in one visit", but that appears to apply only in the store, as you add it as a gift card to your online account, and the full terms online (on the deals page) talks about what happens if you only use part of the value and don't use it again before the expiration date.
If you are not a member yet, follow this link to sign up. Or, just click HERE to sign up for the deal and create your account at the same time. There is a "limited quantity" of the gift cards available, but it isn't selling at anywhere near the speed of the Amazon gift cards that I told you about last time. They are only up to about 23,800 and there are still four days left to get in on the deal. I've already received my notification (but you can't use your Groupon until the day after you buy it, just like with Living Social). I plan on applying it to my account tomorrow, then using to buy nook books this month and the next.

Thanks for stopping by, but it appears you are using a (very) old address for my blog. I've moved to a Wordpress site and you'll need to update your bookmarks for Books on the KnobI've moved!
