$5 Amazon MP3 Credit (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including any Kindle Touch or Kindle Keyboard that opts in to Special Offers, but not Kindle Fire with Special Offers):

Get $5 to Spend on Digital Music at Amazon

Click on the offer, then click on the link on the offer page sign up and you'll get an email with the promotion code. Sign-up for this offer expires October 7, 2012.

You'll get an email (right away), a link to the Amazon MP3 store page, a promotion code and a link to the redemption page. This one works like a gift card and you need to apply the credit to your account first, before going shopping. Once you have entered the promotional code(s), you have until October 14, 2012 to complete your purchases.

I'd recommend that you apply the credit right away, since it works on any MP3 purchase - then you can shop on the web or from your phone or Kindle Fire and it will be used automatically. The exception would be if you have the MP3 Album for $3 credit on your account. These credits don't combine well (when I tried to buy my album, it ate up all my existing credit, rather than only $3, and I had to get customer service to help straighten it out). So, use that credit first, then apply this credit to your account.

Edit to add: I found the best way to ensure that your credits are being used the way you want: send your MP3 choice to yourself as a gift. On the first page you'll see the Amazon price (ignoring any promos or credits) and you enter your email address. On the next page (the confirmation page), you'll see the exact price you pay and any promos that are being used for the purchase. By doing this, you can make sure that aren't using $8 of credit for what should be a $3 album (which is what happened to me the first time). In order to use my $3 album credit, it looks like you need to make sure you don't have any coinstar credits first.

Get an MP3 Album for $3 (KSO)

This offer for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers only.

On your Kindle Fire with Special Offers (2nd Generation or HD), swipe the top menu to the left until you see Offers, then press/click in order to see the current offers. At the bottom, you should see the offer to Get a Select Music Album for $3. Click on the offer, then on the orange button to add the credit directly to your account. It's nearly instant and the next screen offers to take you to Amazon MP3 store so you can start shopping. You can also shop the Amazon MP3 store from your PC or other Android device and the credit will automatically be used on the next qualifying purchase (I prefer to browse on my PC, as you can do a "play all" on the samples).

Other than picking out an album that has a price of $10 or less, there doesn't seem to be any restriction on which albums you can choose.

Offer is good for one album and only one per account (if you have multiple KSO devices, they need to be registered to different accounts when you apply the credit to any of the accounts). The credit must be claimed by Oct 2 and used by midnight (PT) October 10.

Get a Select Kindle Book for $1 (KSO)

This offer for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers only. On your Kindle Fire with Special Offers (2nd Generation or HD), swipe the top menu to the left until you see Offers, then press/click in order to see the current offers. At the bottom, you should see the offer to Get a Select Top-Rated Kindle Book for $1. Click on the offer, then on the orange button to add the credit directly to your account. It's nearly instant and the next screen offers to take you to Amazon so you can see the list of books included in the offer. If you miss that screen, though, don't worry - a document about the offer will appear on your home page, complete with a link to the qualifying books. I thought the offer said I would also get an email, but haven't seen anything show up, which means you have to keep the Doc on your Kindle if you want a reminder about the offer until you take advantage of it, although you can shop from your desktop, using the link I've included above; I tested this and it does work, including still allowing you to send the $1 book as a gift (the full price shows all the way thru, but on the invoice summary, you will see the $1 promotional price).

I already have several of these, but there are at least a couple that look interesting; two of them also have $1.99 companion audiobooks and another two are $4.99.

Offer is good for one book and only one per account (if you have multiple KSO devices, they need to be registered to different accounts when you apply the credit to any of the accounts). The credit must be claimed by Sept 27 and used by midnight (PT) October 4.

$5 Instant Amazon Instant Video Credit (KSO)

This offer for those with a Kindle Fire with Special Offers only. On your Kindle Fire with Special Offers (and presumably on the HD, which I don't have yet, since I ordered the large memory size), swipe the top menu to the left until you see Offers, then press/click in order to see the current offers. At the bottom, you should see the offer to Get $5 to spend on Select Titles. Click on the offer, then on the orange button to add the credit directly to your account. It's nearly instant and the next screen offers to take you to Amazon so you can spend that credit away! If you miss that screen, though, don't worry - a document about the offer will appear on your home page.

It looks like you can shop the entire Instant Video Store (rentals and purchases) and just check for any individual product that is excluded from this (and all other) promotions, on the product detail page (not that I saw any that were excluded and I checked a couple of dozen pages). The credit expires Sept 29, so be sure to use it quickly.

I'm half-tempted by The Pirates!, especially with the ebook being featured at Amazon today (but only a super-deal for those in the UK) and with tomorrow being Talk Like a Pirate Day (a local donut chain is giving them away to all those dress up or just talk like a pirate in the store.

Don't forget to use your $5 MP3 credit - it expires Sept 24!

$10 Amazon Gift Card from Discover (KSO)

This offer is for Kindle with Special Offers owners only.

Get a $10 Amazon Gift Card from Discover

To take advantage of this offer:
  1. First, turn on your Kindle with Special Offers, click Menu, then View Special Offers.
  2. Find the offer: Get $2 off any one of 50 MP3 jazz albums. Click on it, then on the link to Email Me This Offer.
  3. You will get an email from Amazon with directions (essentially the next two steps, below).
  4. Set your default Kindle 1-Click Payment Method to your Discover card in the Manage Your Kindle section on Amazon.com, here.
  5. Purchase one or more digital products such as Kindle content, Audible Audiobooks, MP3s, Amazon Instant Videos, Digital Games & Software, and Apps from the Amazon Appstore for Android. Gift Cards and physical goods are excluded.
  6. A $10 Amazon.com Gift Card will be applied to your Amazon account within 10 business days, but in no event later than November 30, 2012.
Limit one per customer and only available from September 11, 2012 12:01 a.m. (PT) through November 11, 2012 11:59 p.m. (PT).

If you have multiple accounts, I suspect you can only get this on one account per Discover Card account (you would have to have two Discover accounts and two Amazon accounts to get two gift cards). Since the Terms and Conditions link in the email Amazon sent out doesn't go anywhere pertinent, though, that is just a guess on my part.

Free Audiobook - Eat That Frog!

The unabridged audiobook performance of Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time ($8.22 Kindle), by Brian Tracy (and narrated by Brian Tracy), is free on Audible. This has been a Kindle Deal of the Day and a Nook Daily Find choice this year, so you may already have the ebook in your library.

After weeks of nothing interesting on my Kindle with Special Offers, this one popped up on it today, but anyone (at least, in the US; other areas may be locked out) can grab this freebie from Audible.
Book Description
There's an old saying: if you eat a live frog first thing each morning, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that it's probably the worst thing you'll do all day. Using "eat that frog" as a metaphor for tackling the most challenging task of your day, the one you are most likely to procrastinate on, but also the one that might have the greatest positive impact on your life, Eat That Frog! shows you how to zero in on these critical tasks and organize your day. You'll not only get more done faster, but get the right things done.

In his trademark high-energy style, acclaimed speaker and best-selling author Brian Tracy cuts to the core of what is vital to effective personal time management: decision, discipline, and determination. He reminds us: "The purpose of time-management skills, of eating that frog, and getting more done in less time, is to enable you to spend more 'face time' with the people you care about, doing the things that give you the greatest amount of joy in life."

$3 Instant Amazon MP3 Credit

This offer is displayed on my Kindle with Special Offers (which is just an Kindle with Ads, lately), but is not limited to those with a KSO or any Kindle device. Instead, you can either order this one direct from your KSO or just go online to AmazonLocal and grab it there:

Free Voucher for $3 to Spend at Amazon MP3

You will need one-click turned on for your Amazon account AND you must have a credit card registered for one-click (even though you won't be charged). You can turn this off and remove the card (do this by choosing to supply a new payment type, then just clicking on your address without entering any other info), once you've signed up. Sign-up for this offer expires at midnight (PT) or when supplies are exhausted (check other cities if yours is out).

You'll receive the promo code on your KSO home page and can retrieve it from the Vouchers link at AmazonLocal (you should also get an email telling you when it is ready) and will need to load the credit onto your account (which you can redeem HERE), just like a gift card, before going shopping. Once you have entered the promotional code(s), you have until midnight, July 11, 2012 to complete your purchases. I'd recommend that you apply the credit right away, since it works on any MP3 purchase - then you can shop on the web OR from your Kindle Fire and it will be used automatically.

If you were holding off on any of yesterday's bargain albums, now's the time to grab one (the credit will buy an entire Soundtrack!).

$3 Instant Amazon Video Credit (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including any Kindle Touch or Kindle Keyboard that opts in to Special Offers, which means you can add the offers, grab this one, then turn them back off!):

Get $3 off at Amazon Instant Video

Click on the offer, then click on the link on the offer page sign up and you'll get an email with the promotion code. Sign-up for this offer expires May 6, 2012.

You'll get an email (right away), a link to the Instant Video page, a promotion code and a link to the redemption page. This one works like a gift card and you need to apply the credit to your account first, before going shopping. Once you have entered the promotional code(s), you have until June 6, 2012 to complete your purchases. I'd recommend that you apply the credit right away, since it works on any video purchase - then you can shop on the web, from your Kindle Fire or your Roku and it will be used automatically.

You can use this credit on a rental or to purchase single items or entire television seasons. I'll probably use mine for the occasional 99 cent movie rental; if you have multiple KSO's, be sure you have them registered to different accounts before you try to claim this one or they'll all end up with the same code. With different accounts, each KSO can claim and use the code (three $1 rentals each should be enough to keep you in movies for the month, if you have 2 or 3 KSO's!).

Get $30 off Dress Shoes (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers:

Save on Select Shoes (Get $30 off when you spend $100 on Women's pumps & Men's dress shoes)

Click on offer, then click on the link on the offer page to receive an email with the promo code. Sign-up for this offer expires on April 29 (it says the 30th on your Kindle, but the promotional page sets the cut-off as the 29th).

You'll get an email (right away), a link to the Special Offer page and a promotion code to enter at checkout. Once you have the promotional code, you have until May 31, 2012 to complete your purchase. Like previous offers, this one requires you to use the full checkout process in order to enter your promotional code. Also, like all Amazon sales that use promotional codes, if you have a gift card balance, you must use it for the payment (if there is not a sufficient balance, then you can pick which credit card or other payment to use).

Limit one offer per customer and per device.

You can add one or more qualifying pair of shoes to get to the $100 minimum and there seem to be a lot to choose from. One the Women's side, it is all dress heels, from what I can see, but I saw loafers in the men's selection (apparently the 31 most popular choice, right now). Personally, I don't buy shoes mail order, but you do have the protection of the return policy at Amazon on these (if you do return them, the promotion amount is subtracted from any return value, of course).

Neutrogena: Get $10 Off $30 Order (KSO)

This offer has been extended from it's earlier claim-by date, but is the exact same deal, otherwise, including the expiration date. If you've already claimed the earlier deal, you'll get sent the exact same coupon code this time, so I don't think you'll be able to take advantage of the deal twice.

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including any Kindle Touch or Kindle Keyboard that opts in to Special Offers, which means you can add the offers, grab this one, then turn them back off!):

Exclusive savings on select Neutrogena® products
(Get $10 Off a $30 Purchase of Select Neutrogena® Items)

Click on offer, then click on the link on the offer page to receive an email with the promo code. Sign-up for this offer expires on May 9.

You'll get an email (right away), a link to the Special Offer page and a promotion code to enter at checkout. Once you have the promotional code, you have until May 25, 2012 to complete your purchase.

Save 25% on Skins by DecalGirl (KSO)

This offer for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (which you can turn on and off, of course, on some of the later eInk models

Save 25% on Kindle and Kindle Touch Skins by DecalGirl

Click on the offer, then click on the link on the offer page to receive an email with the promotion code. Sign-up for this offer expires on April 23.

You'll get an email (right away), a link to the Kindle Special Offer page and a promotion code to enter at checkout. Once you have the promotional code, you have until May 23 to complete your purchase.

This offer showed up on all of my Kindles, even the Kindle 3's (with Keyboards). The skins that are on sale, though are only for the last two eInk models, the current "Kindle" (the baby, no keyboard and no touch) and the Kindle Touch. that said, there's nothing to prevent you from buying one for a Mother's day gift - just be sure to get one for the right model Kindle. There are some great patterns to choose from (I have the Abolisher skin on my K3 and it almost looks like it is 3-D).

The skins I checked on had another promotion going, as well (not limited to those with a KSO): Get 25% off on select reading lights, if purchased at the same time (both must be in the cart and ordered using the full checkout process). If you don't have a light in your cover, I can definitely recommend any of the Mighty Bright models (which I've even used on a DX, with it's larger screen). I haven't tried one of the Verso models, but they use a rechargeable battery, which seems like it would be a bit plus (I try to limit the batteries I have to throw away, but some of the lights only use one-use size batteries).

You'll want to shop, early, too. I waited on one of the skin offers last year and it's still sitting in my open orders list (and I suspect I'll never get it). Since I used a KSO coupon code on it, if I cancel, I can't get as good a deal on another, so it just sits there, taunting me every time I check on it.

Listen to the classics for $0.99 (and earn $10)

This offer is on my Kindle with Special Offers (which you can turn on and off, of course, on some of the later eInk models), but is open to all in the US and Canada (and possibly some other countries, as well). The offer mentions listening on your Kindle, but you can listen to these on your PC or MP3 player, instead (I don't believe you even need a Kindle registered to your Amazon account, at all). You will need an Audible account (which may need to use the same login as your Amazon account), but need not be a subscriber to take advantage of the Deal.

Listen to the classics for only $0.99
  • Click HERE to start shopping. Use the Add to Cart button next to each audiobook you are interested in purchasing. Choose from The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain. After you are done, click View Cart to go to the next step.
  • For subscribers, be sure to uncheck the box next to Use Credit on each of the items and click on Update, otherwise you'll waste your monthly credits on the offer.
  • If you signed up for all five of the audiobooks, you should see a total of $4.95; click on Next Step.
  • On the next page, confirm your price (and double check that you haven't used any monthly credits), then click on Complete Purchase (note that any existing discounts will be used to cover the cost, first).
  • You'll then see download page for those who want to send the audiobooks directly to a Kindle (via WiFi only); you can ignore it and download the books later from the My Library page or any WiFi Kindle.
  • As a bonus, those who are eligible for the Listening Rewards program will find that these qualify as purchases and buying four or more will result in a $10 "discount" in your account next month! Even if you never listen to the four you buy, you can turn the $3.96 spent into a $10 discount on another audiobook due to this bonus deal.
You won't be able to use that $10 discount on the semi-annual Half-Price Sale that is currently going on, since it ends April 27, but you may want to check it out, as there are over 1,000 audiobooks currently on sale. Although some are much better deals if you use your monthly credits, others are low enough that a monetary purchase is the best choice. Since I still have a $5 discount left after taking advantage of this offer (apparently some sort of anniversary bonus that I found in my account), I'll be trolling thru the choices in search of a new book to listen to in the car.

If you want to give any of the $0.99 sale audiobooks as gifts, you can't do that from the main Offer page. But, if you click on the titles to get the product details page, you'll see that the 99 cent price carries thru and you'll have a green Give as Gift button.

Edit to add: I just noticed that there are still two days left in the contest to win Stephen King's new Dark Tower novel. Thru April 20, purchase one or more books from the list of audiobooks and your name is entered to win The Wind Through the Keyhole (releasing April 24). With a total of 77 books to choose from, you could earn up to 77 chances to win. Winners will be notified April 23. If you were going to buy one of these anyway, you might want to hurry up the purchase to get in on the contest.

KSO details (which can be completely ignored for this offer):
  1. First, turn on your Kindle with Special Offers, click Menu, then View Special Offers.
  2. Find the offer: Listen to a classic on your Kindle for only $0.99. Click on it, then on the link to Email Me This Offer.
  3. You will get an email from Amazon with a link to the Audible Offer page.
  4. Sign up for the offer expires on April 21 (but I can't find any expiration on the offer itself).
  5. Follow the above directions to take advantage of the offer.

Get $2 off a relaxing MP3 Album (KSO)

Sasha - Thanks for the comment this morning. Leave another with your email address and I'll send you the code for the bonus app: W.E.L.D.E.R. (iPad/iPhone)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (which you can turn on and off, of course, on some of the later eInk models).

Get $2 off any one of 50 relaxing MP3 albums

To take advantage of this offer:
  1. First, turn on your Kindle with Special Offers, click Menu, then View Special Offers.
  2. Find the offer: Get $2 off any one of 50 relaxing MP3 albums. Click on it, then on the link to Email Me This Offer.
  3. You will get an email from Amazon with your promotional code, right away.
  4. Once you have the promotion code (and have selected your album; see below), click this link, then on the button labeled Enter Your Code, at any time up to the expiration date of May 13, 2012.
  5. Enter your code and follow the directions.
  6. Choose any of these albums and you'll get $2 off
You'll have a promotion code on your account that will apply to the FIRST album you buy (from the list) after that. Current prices range from about $3 to $10, but those can change at any time. You should save the code and not enter it until you are ready to buy an album. I find this helps me remember if I've used a code - when I go to apply it, if it isn't accepted, I know I've used that offer; also, I don't accidentally use an offer on a very inexpensive item (they won't pay you to get an album that's only 99 cents, for example).

To recap: you must claim the offer by April 13 and must do so from your Kindle with Special Offers. You'll get a promotion code via email and you have until May 13, 2012, to enter and redeem the code. Once you enter it, it will work on the next album from the list that you purchase.

There are definitely some strange selections in this one (space music?), with most of them music to meditate or practice yoga with. A number of them would work well in the background while reading (perhaps not the Gregorian Chants, though).

You won't find these on the KSO list, but all are of the same general type and are on sale for only 99 cents (or less), about as low as you could get from the KSO offer and they're available to everyone.
If you're willing to spend a dollar more, you might want to check out 99 Must-Have Piano Masterpieces or 99 Must-Have Chillout Classics, both of which appear to be very good selections.

Neutrogena: Get $10 Off $30 Order (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including any Kindle Touch or Kindle Keyboard that opts in to Special Offers, which means you can add the offers, grab this one, then turn them back off!):

Get $10 Off a $30 Purchase of Select Neutrogena® Items

Click on offer, then click on the link on the offer page to receive an email with the promo code. Sign-up for this offer expires on April 25.

You'll get an email (right away), a link to the Special Offer page and a promotion code to enter at checkout. Once you have the promotional code, you have until May 25, 2012 to complete your purchase.

This deal has nearly the same selection as the last one, minus a few of the more popular items that have already sold out (only items on the linked page AND sold by Amazon qualify for the promotion). Overall, though, this offer is better than the last one, which was, at best, 25% off (and only if the two items purchased were of equal value). Also, this offer has a high enough purchase requirement that everyone will qualify for free super-saver shipping (which looks at the before coupon totals), if not a member of Prime.

I am having trouble getting the email to send on one of our Kindles, so it's a good thing that the deadline on this one is quite a ways off (it just keeps saying that it's unable to send an email, despite having no problem getting onto the Kindle store and a restart did nothing to fix the issue).

Buy one of 50 Humor titles for $1 (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including any Kindle Touch or Kindle Keyboard that opts in to Special Offers).

Buy one of 50 Humor titles for $1

To take advantage of this offer:
  1. First, turn on your Kindle with Special Offers, click Menu, then View Special Offers.
  2. Find the offer: Buy one of 50 Humor titles for $1. Click on it, then on the link to Email Me This Offer.
  3. You will get an email from Amazon with your promotional code, right away.
  4. Once you have the promotion code (and have selected your book; see below), click this link, then on the button labeled Enter Your Code, at any time up to the expiration date of May 8.
  5. Enter your code and follow the directions.
  6. Choose any of these books and you'll pay only $1.
You'll have a promotion code on your account that will apply to the FIRST book you buy (from the list) after that. Note that even if the book is free, you'll pay a dollar, so be careful which one you pick after you enter the code -- make sure you don't grabbing a low cost title by accident, which can happen if you apply the code right away, before you are ready to buy the book. Current prices range from $1.99 (not a great savings) to over $10. You should save the code and not enter it until you are ready to buy a book.

To recap: you must claim the offer by April 8 and must do so from your Kindle with Special Offers. You'll get a promotion code via email and you have until May 8 to enter and redeem the code. Once you enter it, it will work on the next book on the list that you purchase.

This is a repeat offer, although last time there were 100 books to choose from. The choices appear to be quite different this time around, though, and everyone should be able to find one book they spend a buck upon!

Neutrogena - Buy One Get One 50% Off (KSO)

This offer is only for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including any Kindle Touch or Kindle Keyboard that opts in to Special Offers, which means you can add the offers, grab this one, then turn them back off!):

Buy One Neutrogena® Item, Get One 50% Off

Click on offer, then click on the link on the offer page to receive an email with the promo code. Sign-up for this offer expires on April 8.

You'll get an email (right away), a link to the Special Offer page and a promotion code to enter at checkout. Once you have the promotional code, you have until May 8, 2012 to complete your purchase.

Shop early, of course, as their selection often dwindles as the offer goes on. This is another bonus offer, that isn't on the "normal" schedule (every 4 days, although some dates now get skipped), but it's also one that gives you plenty of time to sign up for it. If you don't see it on your Kindle, first try leaving the WiFi on for an hour or so and, if that doesn't work, try doing a Restart from the Settings menu (not a factory reset, though).

The Hunger Games Audiobook for $4.95

This offer is currently on my Kindle with Special Offers, but it looks like everyone (at least in the US; I can't check regions on this one) can take advantage of it!.

Get the Audible audiobook edition of The Hunger Games ($5 Kindle) for $4.95.
Book Description
Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning?

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before - and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.
And, just in case it ends up limited to those with a KSO, here are the details from the offer (personally, I'd just click the link above and see if you can get it, since that is a lot easier than the usual KSO process).

Listen to The Hunger Games on your Kindle for $4.95

Click on offer, then click on the link on the offer page to receive an email with a link to the audiobook. Sign-up for this offer expires on March 27. You'll get an email (right away), a link to the Special Offer page. You must complete your purchase by 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) on March 27, 2012.

Pre-order The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Get 50% off Second Film (KSO)

This offer is for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including any Kindle Touch or Kindle Keyboard that opts in to Special Offers, which means you can add the offers, grab this one, then turn them back off!).

Pre-order The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and get 50% off another mystery film

Click on offer, then click on the link on the offer page to receive an email with the promo code. Sign-up for this offer expires on March 24.

You'll get an email (right away), a link to the Special Offer page and a promotion code to enter at checkout. Once you have the promotional code, you have until April 24, 2012 to complete your purchase.

Shop early, of course, as their selection often dwindles as the offer goes on. Also, I checked the prices yesterday and there has already been a $5 drop on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Three-Disc Combo Blu-ray / DVD + UltraViolet Digital Copy). As with any pre-order, you'll get the lowest price between the time you order and when it ships, so you might pay even less.

Buy one of 50 biography and history titles for $1 (KSO)

This offer is for those with a Kindle with Special Offers (including any Kindle Touch or Kindle Keyboard that opts in to Special Offers, which means you can add the offers, grab this one, then turn them back off!).

Buy one of 50 biography and history titles for $1

To take advantage of this offer:
  1. First, turn on your Kindle with Special Offers, click Menu, then View Special Offers.
  2. Find the offer: Buy one of 50 biography and history titles for $1. Click on it, then on the link to Email Me This Offer.
  3. You will get an email from Amazon with your promotional code, right away.
  4. Once you have the promotion code (and have selected your book; see below), click this link, then on the button labeled Enter Your Code, at any time up to the expiration date of April 8, 2012.
  5. Enter your code and follow the directions.
  6. Choose any of these books and you'll pay only $1. Be sure to click on the two category links, as you'll only see some of the titles when the page first displays.
Current prices range from $4 to over $15. You should save the code and not enter it until you are ready to buy a book.

To recap: you must claim the offer by March 8 and must do so from your Kindle with Special Offers. You'll get a promotion code via email and you have until April 8, 2012 to enter and redeem the code. Once you enter it, it will work on the next book on the list that you purchase.

There are several interesting options in the choices for this offer (although a few are already on sale for $3.99), such as the book a current movie is based upon, We Bought a Zoo: The Amazing True Story of a Young Family, a Broken Down Zoo, and 200 Wild Animals, or Autobiography of Mark Twain: The Complete and Authoritative Edition, Volume 1, which you definitely don't want to have to hold in the paper edition (it's over 750 pages). There's a repeat of one title that sold out fast the last time it was on a $1 offer, The Worst Hard Time: The Untold Story of Those Who Survived the Great American Dust Bowl, so if you missed it then, you might want to use the offer right away to get it (I just did, as I was one of the ones that waited too long, last time).
